King, Sherri L. Moon Lust
Main Characters: Brianna and Ivan Davidovich Basileus
Description from book:
During Brianna’s trip to the Ural Mountains of Russia, a life-threatening accident places her at the mercy of a strange, reclusive man. A man whose secrets and unquenchable hunger will change her life forever . . .
While visiting the land of her uncle’s birth, Brianna falls down a deep ravine. She is rescued by Ivan, but is then stranded with him by a snowstorm. Ivan and Brianna are deeply attracted to each other – and start to develop an intense relationship. However, the moon is changing and so is Ivan. He is not quite human – and becomes more wolf than man during certain cycles of the moon. He worries about whether Brianna can accept him. Fortunately, she loves him. This is an enjoyable story. As with most short stories, my complaint is that the stories don’t last long enough for me to get too involved. I would have loved to have learned more about Brianna and Ivan!
O’Clare, Lori. Lunewulf: Pack Law
Main Characters: Sophie Rousseau and Nik Alexander
Description from book:
Pack law states every female shall have three mates. It’s a necessary action in order to keep the lunewulf breed alive. Sophie Rousseau has just learned who her three mates will be. And one of them is the sexy Nik Alexander who has invaded her dreams since high school. Though Sophie’s nervous about fulfilling pack law, she can’t wait to mate with Nik.

In this story, Sophie learns that she has been mated to three of her pack mates – Niklas Alexander, Lukas Kade and Jonathan Abram. Sophie is excited to learn that Nik is to be one of her mates, but is also nervous. Nik, on the other hand, made sure that he would be one of Sophie’s mate. As part of the pack, Nik knows that he must adhere to pack law and accept that there will be two other mates for Sophie. However, as a dominant alpha, Nik wants the mating to be on his terms. And boy, does he make sure that he is in charge!!
Burton, Jaci. Running Mate
Main Characters: Jason Devlin and Kelsey Haper
Description from book:
Senator Jason Devlin is a man with a secret that could ruin his political career and his family. Kelsey Harper is a reporter itching for an interview with the elusive senator. When a case of mistaken identity lands her in his bed, she gets much more than an interview. Jason must choose between keeping his secret and the woman who speaks to his heart.
Kelsey, a reporter, mistakenly ends up in Senator Jason Devlin’s bed. While in his bed, Kelsey learns all sorts of intimate details about the senator. However, he isn’t like other men – he is a werewolf. Jason is stunned when he comes to believe that Kelsey is his mate, despite her being human. She finds out his secret while spending the weekend with the senator. Again, the story is short and everything happens very quickly. But, it was a good read.

Description from the book:
Hope believed Wolfe was dead, but he was only waiting for the right time to claim her. The scientist who created him, Hope’s mother, has forced his hand. She wants her creation back, and she wants any children he may breed on her daughter.
He is a man whose DNA was altered, infused with the genetic code of the wolf. His unique genetic makeup has created a male unlike any other and will make itself known in the most surprising ways. Now Hope must convince her mate she hasn’t betrayed him, and they must defeat the plans of a scientist gone mad.
As a fan of Lora Leigh’s breeds series, I purchased this book specifically for this story. Like the rest of the stories in the series, I loved this one. Hope, the daughter of the evil Dr. Bainesmith, is one more weapon that the Dr. tries to use against the breeds she created. She tries to force Wolfe to breed with Hope. He resists, but does mark her as his mate. This marking puts Hope in perpetual heat. Shortly after marking Hope, the lab is destroyed. Hope believes that Wolfe perished in the destruction. However, he is simply hiding. Six years later, Wolfe returns for Hope believing that she has betrayed him with another. This is, of course, a lie perpetuated by her mother. As with the other stories in this anthology, I wish this one was longer. I loved both Hope and Wolfe and would have loved to have has their story told in a longer format. I felt a bit cheated. I can’t wait for the forthcoming parts of this series!!
