Kiss or Kill – Lyn Stone

Stone, Lyn. Kiss or Kill. (New York: Silhouette, 2007). ISBN – 9780373275588.

Main Characters: Special Agent Renee LeBlanc and Mark Alexander Brevet

Description from the book:

Wake up to danger

Special Agent Renee LeBlanc was deep undercover, close to exposing the leader of a terrorist cell. Then he showed up in the midst of her op. Marc Alexander, the only man who had ever upset Renee’s uncanny instincts – a man who could blow her cover with a word. The desire between them was as strong as ever, but who was Mark really – ally or foe? Her of villain? Lover . . . or assassin? These were decisions she had to make.

Heaven help her if she was wrong.

My Thoughts:

It took a while for me to get into this book. I’m not sure if I was having trouble following the plot – or if it just took me a little longer than normal to connect with the main characters. However, I did eventually get into the story – and I enjoyed it very much. This is a romantic suspense story with spies and international terrorists. It is set in Paris. Renee LeBlanc is working undercover to foil a bomb plot. The crime is related to an earlier kidnapping attempt, and she is trying to find out more about the group responsible. Meanwhile, Mark works for a private security group out of London. He is on the trail of an assassin who murdered his father many years ago. The trail takes him to Paris, and he gets involved in Renee’s mission. Renee and Mark have met before while in some sort of spy training. They, of course, are attracted to each other – something they must contend with while working and living in close quarters. While their mission does not necessarily go as planned, the two do fall in love. This book was definitely worth the read!
